I'm a newbie and I would love if someone could explain to me how to generate the code for HCL Module. I'm completely lost after installing the extension.

First you have to go here www.helpcenterlive.com/ and install HCL. This module only allows you to easily integrate HCL into you joomla website. You have to generate the code from within HCL installation.
